5 Tips for Creating a Solid Night Routine

Now that we’ve got our morning routines down, let’s work on our night routines! For me, my night routine is all about winding down and setting myself up for a successful morning. I’d love to share my top tips with you so you can build your best night routine yet!

Tip #1

Do a quick yoga, breathwork, or stretching session to kick off your nighttime routine. It doesn’t have to be a long session, even just 5-10 minutes will do! This will help you set the tone for the evening and start chilling out.

Tip #2

Debrief with your spouse or partner at the end of the day. It’s super important to make sure you are taking the time to connect and go over everything! If you don’t have a spouse or partner to debrief with, or just need some “me” time, grab a pen and paper and take a moment by yourself to go over your day.

Tip #3

Minimize time on your phone/electronics. Screens can interfere with your sleep! Instead, try reading or listening to an audiobook. I usually stay away from personal development or anything intense as I’m trying to create a sense of calmness before bed.

Tip #4

Set your workout clothes out for the next day. Like I mentioned in my Morning Routine blog, this is one of the best things you can do to guarantee you have a successful morning. With your clothes all ready to go, you won’t waste any time trying to find your clothes or figuring out what to wear, so you can jump right into your workout first thing!

Tip #5

Finish your day by going through your planner and checking off all the things you’ve accomplished. Are there any last minute items you need to finish up? Then, figure out what tasks will need to be moved to tomorrow so you can plan ahead.

However you choose to structure your routine, I encourage you to romanticize all of your routines. They don’t have to be perfect, but you can make them incredible. Put your own twist on your routines to make them uniquely YOURS. If you have any tips or tricks of your own, I’d love to hear them in the comments!
